Hello lovers, my name is Lindsay (obvi). Welcome to my website. I am a Registered Dietitian and I live in Atlanta, GA. with my two adorable pups, Potter and Gryffin (yes, they are named after Harry Potter characters, and yes I know I'm a huge nerd). I spend my days managing a team of dietitian's across a health care system and my nights on the couch with my dogs. Well, not every night, but a lot of nights. It's my happy place.
I'm new to the whole blogging thing, but I'm sure you've gathered based on my profession that I have an interest in health and wellness. I mean who doesn't these days?! There is so much information out there, most of it is a bunch of unresearched crap someone randomly came up with, but I digress. My goal is to one day plan and run wellness retreats all over the world. So I figured a wellness blog would be a great way to start!
A little background....
I spent a few years in my early thirties married, bored, and sitting at home feeling sorry for myself, but not doing anything about it. I left that part of my life behind four years ago and began a journey of self improvement and more recently, self care. This came after about a year of going balls to wall with dating, socializing, traveling, all of the things to make up for lost time. It was a fun year, and I have a lot of great stories and memories, but it wasn't sustainable to keep going like that, at least not for me. I started going to therapy on a regular basis and really working on myself. It's an ongoing process, and I learn something new about myself or life in general almost every day. It's truly amazing how your perspective on things can change in just a short amount of time.
So here I am, sharing my wellness and self exploration/improvement journey and experiences with you. I hope you enjoy, but more importantly, I hope you feel inspired to start your own journey. There's no time like the present.
